Condition Examination
Complete and apparently unused set of fourteen stamps, with original gum present on every example, as confirmed by the owner.
The reverse photographs show differing degrees of previous mounting, including attached hinges and possible hinge traces. EDIFIL 332, 333 and 334 have been individually examined and confirmed by the owner as MH without additional faults.
The remaining stamps require individual confirmation before assigning definitive MNH, MLH or MH grades. No major paper faults have been independently established for the complete set.
The front images show generally legible designs, varied centring and mostly complete perforations. Exact perforation measurements, gum originality testing and specialist varieties have not been independently verified.
Overall Condition: Mixed Mint, predominantly hinged or hinge-status pending.
Historical and Philatelic Context
Commemorative charity issue released in 1926 to support the Spanish Red Cross (Cruz Roja Española), during the reign of King Alfonso XIII.
The set includes portraits of members of the Spanish royal family and designs connected with the Red Cross campaign. It contains thirteen ordinary postage stamps and one special urgent-mail stamp.
The stamps were produced using recess engraving, characteristic of high-quality commemorative issues of this period.
